JOB PURPOSE

To safeguard company assets by ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient reverse logistics execution, and full accountability from field collection to resale or disposal. The role is responsible for minimizing shrinkage, accelerating recovery cycles, and maintaining real-time stock accuracy across all locations.

2. REPORTING LINE

Reports to: Field Operations Manager

Works closely with: Field Officers, Warehouse Team, Finance, Resell Partners and Call Centre

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate stock records (system vs physical reconciliation).
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
  • Investigate and report all stock variances within 24 hours.
  • Ensure proper tagging, grading, and categorization of returned devices.
  • Monitor aging stock and escalate items >30 days in store.
  • Maintain FIFO discipline where applicable.
  • Ensure secure storage and controlled access to inventory.

B. Reverse Logistics Operations

  • Oversee device movement from field collection to HQ/warehouse.
  • Validate condition of returned devices (damage, tampering, missing parts).
  • Ensure SIM test and functional verification is completed before resale.
  • Track each device status: Collected → Received → Tested → Graded → Sold → Reconciled.
  • Coordinate with resale partners and monitor rejection rates.
  • Manage return flows from resellers (rejected items).
  • Ensure full documentation for every movement (handover forms, GRNs, dispatch notes).

C. Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Perform daily reconciliation of:
  • Devices collected vs received
  • Devices sold vs paid
  • Devices rejected vs returned
  • Track and report:
  • Rejection rate %
  • Payment delay days
  • Stock aging
  • Recovery turnaround time
  • Submit weekly inventory & reverse logistics dashboard.
  • Trigger red flags where:
  • Payment delay > 5 days
  • Rejection rate > agreed threshold
  • Variance detected

D. Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure SOP adherence at field and warehouse level.
  • Enforce handover protocol between Field Officers and HQ.
  • Monitor potential fraud risks (device swaps, part harvesting, SIM test manipulation).
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation at all times.
  • Support internal and external audits.

4. KPIs (Performance Metrics)

  • Inventory accuracy ≥ 99%
  • Rejection rate below agreed benchmark
  • Processing Rate 80%
  • Stock variance < 1%
  • Average turnaround time ≤ agreed SLA 12hr
  • Payment collection within agreed credit terms
  • Zero unresolved audit queries


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Inventory Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in inventory management, reverse logistics, warehouse operations, asset recovery, or related roles.
  • Experience in stock reconciliation, asset tracking, device recovery, and inventory control processes.
  • Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems, inventory tools, and Microsoft Excel reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and accountability in managing company assets.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with field teams, warehouse, finance, and external partners.
  • Experience in device financing, fintech, telecom, or mobile device recovery is an added advantag
