What we are looking for

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and driven Regional Operations Manager to join our dynamic Technical Operations team. This role is crucial in driving the performance and operations of our technical teams across multiple areas in the Western Cape, whilst implementing regional performance strategies, leading the technical supervisors. Your agility and obsession with efficiency and building high-performance teams will be essential to guarantee success in this role.

About the role

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the activities of the company’s technical operations teams across the region. This role emphasises strategic execution, performance management, and operational excellence within a defined region. You will play a crucial role in driving TooMuchWifi’s operations strategies, improving the quality of work completed by the technical operations teams, reviewing and simplifying processes, and maintaining relevant reports to track performance.

What you will be doing

  • Improve regional processes, policies and practices so as to achieve company goals, while ensuring and enforcing adherence. 
  • Analyzing regional data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing data-driven strategies to optimize performance. 
  • Developing actionable insights from performance metrics to guide decision-making and strategic planning. 
  • Monitoring and assessing key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met and exceeded. 
  • Implementing data-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and support Technical Supervisors, ensuring their teams are motivated, productive, and exceeding performance targets utilizing training, coaching, data and in field support to drive performance and decision making. 
  • Coaching and counselling Technical Supervisors, to be exceptional leaders in order to drive personal development and operational excellence. 
  • Actively work in the field with the Technical Supervisors to identify areas for improvement to drive scale. 
  • Uphold and promote TooMuchWifi’s brand values and standards in all regional activities. 
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise within the region, ensuring a positive impact on operations.

Minimum requirements (qualifications, skills and experience, other)

  • Minimum 5 years regional operations experience within the communities we serve or similar environments. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related. (MSc preferred)
  • Proven experience in a middle management leadership role within operations, or a related field, specifically in aspirational communities in South Africa. 
  • Strong team leadership and supervisory skills, with a track record of managing multiple teams who are not office based. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict management. 
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills to monitor performance and identify trends. 
  • Proficient in using computer applications for reporting and communication.
  • Must have own reliable vehicle and valid driver
