As a Technical Compliance Manager at TonyBet, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the company’s technical systems and processes adhere to regulatory requirements in the respective jurisdictions and align with industry standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining technical compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and license conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements for compliance in both new and existing markets and guide the development team on necessary adjustments.
  • Analyse and interpret laws, regulations, technical standards, and guidelines for several jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, testing labs, service providers, and advisors, on technical compliance topics.
  • Draft and update company policies, respond to due diligence requests from third parties, and provide guidance during internal audits.
  • Perform technical compliance gap assessments and provide recommendations for implementing solutions.
  • Identify and communicate technical compliance risks and gaps, actively contributing to solution implementation.
  • Develop and refine technical processes tailored to different jurisdictions.
  • Play a key role in implementing the technical compliance best practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance measures into new and existing technologies.
  • Lead regular assessments of technological systems to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Define and promote clear and concise communication of compliance control standards across the company.
  • Define and support the regulatory change management process for technical systems / processes and conduct thorough market research to identify best practices for compliance in selected jurisdictions.
  • Compile and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports to relevant authorities.
  • Oversee the operation of vaults and safes used to communicate and exchange data with regulators.
  • Conduct regular testing and monitoring of systems to identify and resolve any compliance issues.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation in accordance with industry standards and as needed for day-to-day operations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance measures into technical documentation.
  • Serve as point of contact for and assist in troubleshooting incidents affecting technical compliance.
  • Ensure all technical processes and systems are well-documented and easily accessible.
  • Lead and participate in compliance audits, address any discrepancies, and advise on the implementation of corrective actions based on audit findings.
  • Together with the relevant teams Implement and enforce protocols to safeguard confidential information.
  • Define and promote clear and concise communication of compliance standards across the organization.
  • Provide training to relevant teams on compliance protocols and procedures.
  • Implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in meeting compliance obligations.
  • Coordinate with IT and development teams to implement necessary changes or updates to meet compliance obligations.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to implement responsible gambling measures, such as self-exclusion programs, age verification, and spending limits.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge of online gambling regulations, licensing requirements, technical standards, reporting processes and industry best practices.
  • Strong understanding of technical standards, secure vault management and systems employed in online gambling platforms.
  • Proven experience in technical compliance management within the online gaming industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take a pragmatic approach to compliance.  
  • Passion for technical compliance in regulated markets.
  • Professional certifications related to compliance and online gambling are desirable.
