Area Sales Leader - Tembisa

About the role

The Area Leaders reports to the Area Manager and manages a  team of direct reports consisting of sales representatives.  This is a junior leadership role that actively drives the sales and marketing strategies of TooMuchWifi, participates in community engagement efforts, and drives brand awareness and focuses on customer wants, needs and communication preferences (customer-centric).

What you will be doing

Sales Delivery

  • Lead Generation: Drive the creation and qualification of leads and sales directly in your communities.
  • Customer Portfolio Management: Monitor and maintain customer portfolios at both customer and community levels.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the entire customer journey to ensure service excellence and proactive attendance to customer expectations and needs.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth to achieve or exceed relevant targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Network Expansion: Identify and report new network coverage areas to grow our customer base and notify management of bad network coverage to improve customer experience.
  • Run weekly and daily activations, sales campaigns and door to door in the field together with our activations, sales Hotspot and branding teams. 
  • Attend community events, social impact drives and other activities for Toomuchwifi. 
  • Help identity retailers and resellers for Toomuchwifi and work the the Hotspot team to drive the onboarding of these partners, whilst helping to identify key branding hotspots. 
  • Become Mr. / Ms Toomuchwifi in your area. 


Team Management

  • Team recruitment 
  • Leadership: Effectively manage and lead a team of sales representatives, ensuring clear communication of roles and responsibilities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews with each team member.
  • KPI Management: Ensure all sales representatives' KPIs are clearly communicated, implemented, and monitored on a weekly basis.
  • Coaching: Provide regular coaching and support to sales representatives to enhance their performance and development.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to the company’s policies, standards, and procedures.


Brand Management

  • Community Engagement: Attend and prepare for community engagements and activation efforts.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Identify branding and marketing opportunities that contribute to growth, and execute marketing and sales efforts or campaigns with the sales representatives as requested by the Area Manager.
  • Brand Representation: Represent TooMuchWifi's brand in dedicated communities, enhancing brand awareness and customer engagement.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Customer Retention: Maintain and grow customer retention and satisfaction levels.
  • Data Utilization: Utilize data to drive both quantitative and qualitative growth, revenue, and profitability.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies based on data-driven insights to optimize performance and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Matric.
  • Relevant college or university degree is an advantage but not required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years' of team leadership and/or supervisory experience.
  • Sales management, account management, relationship management, business development, and/or customer service management experience.
  • Reporting skills.
  • Executing plans.
  • Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license.
  • Customer centricity.
  • Good communicator.
  • Target driven.
  • Good understanding of and/or previous experience in marketing.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Must live in a community represented - Tembisa.
