What we are looking for

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager: Network Rollout to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of network expansion projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the telecommunications industry, specifically in fixed-wireless internet service provision. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

About the role

TooMuchWiFi is a fast-growing Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) dedicated to delivering high-speed internet connectivity to underserved and remote areas. We believe in bridging the digital divide and providing affordable, reliable, and efficient internet services to our customers. As we expand our reach, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to lead our network rollout projects.

What you will be doing

  • Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, sales, and support, to define project scope and objectives.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Execution and Monitoring:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of network rollout projects.
  • Monitor project progress, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
  • Conduct regular status meetings with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and reported accurately.
  • Allocate resources effectively, ensuring optimal use of personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure necessary resources and services.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Implement risk management plans and regularly update stakeholders on potential impacts and solutions.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, risk assessments, and post-project evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and successes to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.

Required Qualifications

 Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with a focus on network rollout or telecommunications.

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field – Preferred.

PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of fixed-wireless internet technologies and infrastructure.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
