What we are looking for

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotspot Operations manager specialising in the hotspot deployment to join our team. As the Hotspot Operations manager, you will have the unique opportunity to lead a talented team and oversee the day-to-day responsibilities related to our Hotspot product line. Your primary focus will be driving the success of our hotspot products, ensuring their market competitiveness, and delivering an exceptional user experience.

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Hotspot Operations Manager to oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of our Wi-Fi hotspots across various locations. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless connectivity for our users while driving revenue, managing assets, and collaborating across teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

What you will be doing

  • Revenue Growth and Customer Retention: Drive and optimise the revenue and growth of the hotspot product across all communities through targeted sales initiatives, customer retention strategies, and customer education programs.
  • Team Leadership: Manage technical, key account, sales, and operations teams. Set clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for the team, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Strategic Deployment: Collaborate with the Product Growth Manager to:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the Hotspot product.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life, ensuring product milestones are achieved within specified timelines.
  • Product Management:
  • Implement new product enhancements and ensure the successful deployment and management of new solutions.
  • Define the product roadmap in collaboration with the Product Growth Manager, prioritise features and enhancements, and communicate the strategic vision to cross-functional teams.
  • Work with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to gather feedback, address customer needs, and support successful product launches.
  • Asset Management: Manage in-field hotspot assets, ensuring all equipment is accounted for, recovered when decommissioned, and redeployed to maximise ROI.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Conduct ongoing data analysis to identify opportunities for increasing revenue, optimising operations, and enhancing the customer experience.
  • Market Research and Insights:
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Analyse market trends, customer feedback, and sales data to inform product development and prioritise new features.
  • Performance Monitoring: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and performance of the hotspot product line.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as a product ambassador, representing TooMuchWifi and the hotspot product line at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to derive insights from product data and support data-driven decision-making.

Go-to-Market Strategies: Work closely with the sales team to develop effective go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and sales collateral.

Minimum requirements (qualifications, skills and experience, other)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, or telecommunications, with a focus on Wi-Fi or similar technologies.
  • Proven track record in managing technical teams, hotspot operations, and revenue-driven strategies.
  • Experience in working in technical operations for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Technical Proficiency: Understanding of Wi-Fi technologies, network infrastructure, and troubleshooting.
  • Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams across technical and sales functions.
  • Analytical Skills: Expertise in data analysis and the ability to use insights to drive decisions.
  • Product Management: Experience in product lifecycle management and roadmap development.
  • Market Insight: Ability to conduct thorough market research and apply findings to optimise product offerings.
  • Customer Focus: Strong commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
