Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager who would help strengthen our accounting function and build a global Finance function. The person will report to and work in close cooperation with the Group CFO. The role is based in Riga. Hybrid working is possible.

• Oversee and manage the accounting team (in-house and outsourced) for our Group companies.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with all regulatory requirements in each country.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual and regulatory audits.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes in accordance with group timelines and procedures.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to the CFO to support strategic decision-making.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team, providing leadership and support.
• Support operations and update business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Drive process improvements in the ERP systems.

• Relevant experience in Accounting Manager/ Chief Accountant/ Senior Accountant role in an international environment.
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Prior experience in managing year-end processes, liaising with auditors, and a good working knowledge of the group reporting process in a multi-entities environment.
• A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Good understanding of IFRS, key accounting concepts, and principles.
• Experience with MS Dynamics and a professional accounting qualification would be considered advantageous.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel.
• Fluency in written and spoken (business) English, good knowledge of Latvian language.
