What we are looking for

As a Project Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of our network rollout projects. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other team members to ensure that project milestones are achieved on time and within budget. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach will be essential in keeping the project on track and ensuring that resources are utilized effectively. You will help manage project documentation, track progress, and assist with scheduling, ensuring that communication flows smoothly between all stakeholders. Additionally, you will handle administrative tasks related to project management, helping to resolve issues and keep everything running efficiently. Your role will be key in ensuring that the projects are completed successfully, meeting both the technical and business objectives.

About the role

The Project Administrator role is integral to the successful execution of network rollout projects. In this position, you will assist the Project Manager with the planning, coordination, and monitoring of various tasks to ensure that project milestones are met on time and within the allocated budget. You will work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and vendors to facilitate smooth communication, track project progress, and handle the administrative responsibilities that keep the project organized and on track. Your tasks will include managing project schedules, updating documentation, coordinating meetings, and assisting with resource allocation. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. By proactively identifying potential issues and ensuring that the necessary resources and information are in place, you will support the timely and efficient delivery of network infrastructure projects, contributing to the overall success of the rollout and ensuring customer satisfaction.

What you will be doing

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules and plans.
  • Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
  •  Track project progress and report updates to the Project Manager.
  •  Maintain project documentation and ensure all records are up to date.
  •  Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations.
  •  Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project tasks.
  •  Monitor project budgets and expenses, and assist in financial reporting.
  • Support the procurement process by managing vendor relationships and processing
  • purchase orders.
  •  Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Minimum requirements (qualifications, skills and experience, other)

  • A National Diploma from a recognised institution in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  •  3 to 4 years of experience in project administration or a similar role.
  • Experience in the telecommunications or IT industry.
  •  Knowledge of project management software (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Asana, Trello).
  •  Basic understanding of network infrastructure and technologies.
  •  Strong organizational and time management skills.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  •  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
