What we are looking for

A detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationship functions of our company. The successful candidate will ensure that goods and services are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with company policies and quality standards.

About the role

The Procurement Officer reports to the Senior Finance Manager and plays a critical role in supporting operational efficiency, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and best practices.

What you will be doing

  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and delivery timeliness (SLAs).
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, equipment and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors and service providers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure reliability and service quality.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentations, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed, ensuring timely delivery to avoid shortages or overstock.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in developing and refining procurement policies and procedures.

Minimum requirements (qualifications, skills and experience, other)

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
  • Solid understanding of procurement best practices and supply chain processes.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google Sheets and procurement software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or other relevant systems)
  • Attention to detail and a high level of integrity and professionalism.
