Senior Legal Counsel

Tonybet is a leading international online gambling company with a strong presence in the global gaming industry. We are committed to providing a safe, responsible, and enjoyable gaming experience for our customers while adhering to strict regulatory standards in various international markets. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a Legal Counsel who will work within the legal team at Tonybet, advising and assisting the business in all legal matters throughout the group’s operative jurisdictions. 

• Draft, review and negotiate on a wide range of commercial, iGaming and software contracts in accordance with internal procedures and applicable laws;
• Research and remain abreast of developments in multi-national regulatory online gambling regimes and ensure mitigation of potential risk;
• Obtain and maintain gaming licenses in several countries by managing license applications;
• Advise and support the Group on legal aspects in a wide variety of fields, such as consumer affairs, employment, data protection, governance, regulation, intellectual property and technology;
• Engage and liaise with external advisors, regulatory bodies and other third parties where necessary;
• Handle various litigious and non- litigious matters, including coordination with various external law firms as and when required;
• Assess legal risk and exposure, as well as proposing potential solutions to respective problems;
• Managing the relationship with the group’s various corporate services providers in the multiple jurisdictions in which the group’s subsidiaries are based, and supporting corporate structuring/restructuring, generally, providing advice and opinion, as needed;
• Ensure content and brand protection by registration, maintenance, and renewal of intellectual property rights and by assisting in any IP disputes that may arise from time to time, and developing and implementing the brand strategy;
• Deal with a variety of legal topics related to the operation of the company, and work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders;
• Various other responsibilities within their area of competence as the company may from time to time require.

• Master’s degree in Law;
• 2+ years of relevant experience in legal roles within the IGaming sector;
• Fluency in English (any other languages are a plus);
• Self-motivated and possessing a ‘can-do’ attitude;
• High degree of confidentiality;
• You have excellent organizational skills and take pride in being quality-oriented with a keen eye for detail and coming up with creative solutions;
• You are approachable and an effective communicator across all levels of the business and influence key internal and external stakeholders, and provide expert advice to support the strategic agenda;
• You are down-to-earth and a lifelong learner;
• You have excellent problem-solving skills with an optimistic approach;
• You can display a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.

• Gross salary in the range 3000-4000 EUR depending on experience and knowledge;
