As we continue to grow, we are expanding our Building & Infrastructure team and seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join us in either our Dublin and Galway office.

About the role:

What we're looking for:

Education & Professional Status:

  • Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Chartered Membership of Engineers Ireland (essential)


Experience:

  • Significant experience in civil engineering design and project delivery
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams


Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering design standards and regulations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and client expectations effectively


Your role will include:

  • Project Planning & Resource Management:

Lead planning, programming, and resource allocation in consultation with the Operations Director, ensuring efficient delivery throughout the project lifecycle.


  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Guarantee adherence to QMS/EMS/OHSAS standards and all legal obligations, including Health & Safety and BCAR requirements.


  • Financial Oversight:

Manage project cash flow, invoicing schedules, and client follow-ups to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.


  • Client & Team Communication:

Act as the key liaison between clients, internal teams, and senior management, fostering transparency and collaboration.


  • Project Definition & Scope:

Establish clear project briefs, work breakdown structures (WBS), and secure client agreement on terms and conditions.


  • Programme Management:

Develop and maintain project timelines in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.


  • Team Coordination & Leadership:

Ensure all team members understand their roles, responsibilities, and budget constraints, while supporting onboarding and performance management.


  • Design Oversight:

Ensure all designs are prepared by qualified personnel and independently reviewed before submission.


  • Client-Focused Delivery:

Deliver precisely what the client has requested—on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
