About the Role:

TOBIN, an AtkinsRéalis Company is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is a key role within the organisation, offering the opportunity to work on a range of high-profile projects while contributing to the continued development of our teams and client relationships.


As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a central role in the delivery of cost management and commercial services across a variety of projects. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, supporting project delivery while mentoring junior team members and maintaining strong client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Commercial Delivery

  • Preparation and review of Bills of Quantities and pricing documents
  • Drafting tender documentation, including Suitability Assessment Questionnaires
  • Preparation of cost plans and cost reports
  • Tender assessment and preparation of tender reports
  • Commercial management of construction contracts
  • Attendance at site and design team meetings
  • Preparation of payment certificates and recommendations
  • Agreement of final accounts


Team & Client Engagement

  • Lead and support project teams to deliver outputs on time and within budget
  • Mentor and review the work of Graduate and Project Quantity Surveyors
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams across divisions
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members
  • Provide constructive feedback and support team performance


Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and best practice
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures
  • Maintain CPD records and contribute to professional development goals


About You:

  • Level 8 Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
  • Chartered status (SCSI and/or RICS)
  • Typically 8–12 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Experience with Cubit (or similar estimating software)
