Graduate or Design Engineer - Water & Utilities

TOBIN, an AtkinsRéalis Company, is seeking a Graduate or Design Engineer to join our Water & Utilities team.

This is a full-time opportunity, based in Galway, Limerick or Castlebar, and we welcome applications from both recent graduates and engineers with relevant design experience.

Candidates should hold a minimum Level 8 Bachelor's Degree in:

• Civil Engineering
• Construction Studies
• Or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role

Please note that applicants for the Graduate Engineer position must have an existing right to work in Ireland, as employment permit sponsorship is not available at graduate level for this vacancy.

For suitably qualified candidates applying at Design Engineer level, sponsorship under the Critical Skills Employment Permit may be considered, subject to the candidate and role meeting the applicable eligibility requirements.

As part of our Water & Utilities team, you will support the successful delivery of projects, working closely with engineers, technicians, project managers, clients and other members of the design team.

Your responsibilities will include:



• Preparing drawings and designs using software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS and SketchUp
• Producing detailed design drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit
• Carrying out topographical surveys using calibrated equipment, including GPS units and Total Stations
• Reviewing and checking drawings for accuracy, quality and compliance with relevant standards
• Collaborating with clients and members of the wider design team to support the delivery of high-quality projects
• Maintaining accurate and organised project records, drawings and files
• Assisting engineers and technicians with technical detailing and sketching
• Supporting the delivery of projects on time and within budget
• Working under the guidance of your Line Manager, Project Managers and senior members of the team
• Contributing positively to the wider team and taking an active role in your own professional and technical development
