As our Structural Engineering division continues to grow, we are seeking motivated and talented Structural Engineers at Design Engineer and Project Engineer level to join our teams in Galway, Dublin, or Limerick.

About the Role:

As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in the design, analysis, coordination, and delivery of a wide variety of structural engineering projects. Depending on your experience level, you will take responsibility for elements of project delivery, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the successful completion of projects from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design structural elements in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry in accordance with Eurocodes.
  • Prepare and review structural calculations using both hand calculations and specialist engineering software.
  • Contribute to complex structural designs, including foundations, transfer structures, torsional beams, flat slabs, and other specialist structures.
  • Prepare specifications, technical reports, and other project documentation.
  • Assist with or lead coordination between multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Support tendering activities, site investigations, and project delivery.
  • Carry out site inspections and prepare BCAR-related documentation and reports.
  • Complete Designer Risk Assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Manage project tasks to programme and budget requirements.
  • Mentor and support graduate engineers and technicians as appropriate to your level.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.

About You:

You will have:


  • A Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Approximately 2–8 years' relevant structural engineering experience.
  • A strong understanding of structural design principles and structural analysis.
  • Experience designing to Eurocodes across a range of construction materials.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of project scope, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.


For Project Engineer applicants, we would particularly welcome candidates who are:


  • Chartered or actively working towards Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland.
  • Experienced in coordinating project teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with clients and other stakeholders.

Desirable Software Experience:


Experience with some or all of the following would be advantageous:


  • Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis
  • Tekla Structural Designer
  • CADS A3D
  • Tedds
  • AutoCAD 2D
  • Revit and BIM workflows
  • Civil 3D, Site 3D and Navisworks
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, or other Common Data Environments
