About the role

The Implementation Engineer role focuses on the installation, configuration, and testing of network infrastructure, ensuring the successful deployment of network solutions for customers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with project teams to ensure that the network systems meet performance and security standards, while also troubleshooting any issues that arise during the deployment process. You will be responsible for maintaining clear and detailed documentation of the network setup, performing thorough tests to validate the infrastructure, and ensuring that everything functions as expected before going live. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role also demands good communication skills to interact with both internal teams and clients, ensuring the delivery of reliable and high-quality internet services. Your work will directly contribute to the efficient and successful deployment of network solutions, which are critical to the overall customer experience.

What you will be doing

  • Perform site surveys to assess the feasibility of network installations.
  • Install, configure, and test network equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to network installations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of installation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide training and support to field technicians and contractors.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement network deployment plans.
  • Monitor network performance and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure network installations meet company standards.

Minimum requirements (qualifications, skills and experience, other)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Experience in the telecommunications or IT industry.
  • Knowledge of network design and planning.
  • Familiarity with network management software (e.g., Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos).
  • 2-4 years of experience in network implementation or a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of network infrastructure and equipment.
  • Proficient in network configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
