Responsibilities

Budgeting and Budgetary Control

  • Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
  • Design effective budget models for departments and the entire company.
  • Act as an advisor to department managers in formulating their budget submissions.
  • Follow up on budget implementations and limits as it relates to each department.
  • Analyze financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures, and cash management) to ensure all operations are within budget.
  • Investigates variances between budget and actual and produce variance analysis report summary periodically.
  • Review, monitor, and manage budgets.


Financial Analysis & Modelling

  • Develop and manage financial analysis and models.
  • Develop trends and projections as may be required.
  • Undertake research into pricing, competitors, and factors affecting performance.


Fund Raising

  • Research into venture capitalists, corporations, and foundations that are interested in investing in the business.
  • Effectively convey the organization’s mission, vision, and programs to potential investors
  • Write grant applications and fundraising proposals.
  • Responsible for creating the financial analyses required for the fundraise.


Stakeholders Management

  • Report regularly to management and investors on the group’s performance.


Customer Management

  • Respond to customer bids, quotes, invoices
  • Provide support to the Commercial Team in their response to customers’ requirements.


Internal Control 

  • Develop and document accounting policies and processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Update the consolidated SOP document with new processes within the department.
  • Verify and maintain internal control checks and records including asset tags to ensure the safeguard of company assets.
  • Ensure that internal controls around banks and general ledger reconciliation are adequate, effective, and functioning properly.
  • Maintain the integrity of the internal control environment.
  • Carry out investigations when required.


Other Responsibilities

  • Manage the UK & UAE Company accounts.
  • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by your line manager.


PII CONTROLLER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collection of personal information from customers, site visitors, and other targets
  • Must determine the process and methods by which the PII data are collected from customers
  • Must determine the specific type of PII data to be collected
  • Must ensure all changes and modifications of PII data are effectively done
  • Must determine where and how to use the PII data and for a specified purpose
  • Must ensure effective storage of all PII data in-house and when to share with third parties
  • Must determine the retention period for all PII data collected


Requirement

  • Minimum of 8 but not more than 10 years of experience
  • Proven success in a fundraising role with a minimum of 3 years of fundraising or transaction advisory experience.   
  • BSC in Accounting with a minimum of 2.1 GPA
  • ICAN or ACCA Certified Accountant.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace tools.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient with advanced data analytics skills
  • Sound knowledge of International Financial Accounting Standards (IFRS) and its application.
  • Solid understanding of risk and control concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
