• Research and provide tax advice to relevant teams on a variety of tax issues;
• Support business development and cross-border transactions on all tax aspects;
• Implement, control, and maintain transfer pricing documentation;
• Keep up to date with tax developments and implement the necessary changes across the SmartLynx Airlines group;
• Design and implement processes to mitigate key cross-border and local tax risks;
• Support financial reporting processes in relation to taxes;
• Initiate internal group tax audits on various topics;
• Organize tax training for various internal teams.

• At least 4 years of experience in a tax department (at a large accountancy, audit, or law firm, and/or in-house);
• University degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business, or Accounting;
• Hands-on attitude and proactive approach to work, as well as the ability to work in a team;
• Being business acumen and innovative;
• Strong analytical skills, and attention to detail;
• Knowledge of IFRS and accounting procedures are essential for this role;
• Fluent in Latvian, and English;
• If you are familiar with MS Navision this will be considered an advantage.
