Finance Manager (Tax & Financial Reporting)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Own all direct and indirect tax matters across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings, statutory remittances, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and maintain a robust multi-jurisdiction tax governance framework to minimise compliance risk as the business expands into new markets.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting obligations across all operating entities and coordinate regulatory filings within required timelines.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities, external auditors, statutory regulators, and professional advisers across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely completion and high-quality financial reporting.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and strengthen financial controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, new business initiatives, and evolving accounting standards.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities while ensuring full compliance with applicable tax legislation in each jurisdiction.
  • Partner with FP&A and business leaders to provide accurate financial information and support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial reporting, tax compliance, finance processes, and internal controls.
  • Support the implementation of scalable finance processes and governance frameworks to enable sustainable growth across multiple markets.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop finance team members while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, tax, financial control, or audit, with at least 2 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, corporate taxation, indirect taxes, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-jurisdiction tax compliance, statutory reporting, and regulatory engagements.
  • Experience working within a multi-country organisation is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the technology, SaaS, fintech, or other high-growth environment is an advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent certification is required.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical accounting and tax matters into business insights.
