Security Engineer

We are looking for a passionate, hands-on Security Engineer with 3+ years of practical experience to join our Cybersecurity Engineering team. 

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in penetration testing, application security, and vulnerability management, with a genuine passion for learning and solving security problems. At Seamfix, our team works across application security, cloud security, DevSecOps, AI security, incident response, and compliance, but we do not expect candidates to arrive as experts in every domain. We value strong technical fundamentals, curiosity, and ownership. You will receive mentorship, exposure to diverse security projects, and the opportunity to broaden your skills over time.

You will contribute to multiple security assessments each month web, API, mobile, infrastructure, and cloud while supporting vulnerability management, application security initiatives, and security engineering projects.

• Perform Web, API, Mobile, and Infrastructure penetration tests, 3 to 5 engagements per month across Seamfix and client platforms
• Revalidate all remediated findings before closure and maintain a live findings tracker across all active engagements
• Support vulnerability identification, prioritisation, remediation tracking, and monthly reporting across all environments
• Conduct monthly security reviews, GitHub Advanced Security, AWS (GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Config), and Google Workspace audit logs
• Produce a monthly consolidated Cybersecurity Report covering assessment results, posture metrics, and risk commentary
• Work with engineering teams to improve application security throughout the SDLC, secure code reviews, threat modelling, and architecture reviews
• Assist with security automation, scripts, tooling improvements, and integration of security checks into CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to cloud security, DevSecOps, AI security, compliance, and security engineering initiatives as your experience grows

Must Have

• 3+ years of practical cybersecurity experience
• Hands-on Web and API penetration testing experience
• Good understanding of Application Security principles
• Experience with Vulnerability Management
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and OWASP API Security Top 10
• Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, Nuclei, or similar tooling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and technical report writing skills
