Position Title and Summary

Junior Financial Administrator: 

The Junior Financial Administrator supports the finance team by managing financial transactions, assisting with budgeting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. They help maintain accurate records, process invoices, and provide general financial administration to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in processing invoices, payments, and expense claims. 
  • Maintain accurate financial records and update internal accounting systems. 
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. 
  • Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts. 
  • Assist in payroll administration and tax compliance. 
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures. 
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team. 


Reporting Structure

Reports To: Financial Manager 

Direct Reports: None 

Team Structure: Works closely with finance and operations.

Education and Qualifications

Minimum Education Level: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 

Role-Specific Qualifications: Entry-level accounting certification (e.g., AAT, CIMA, SAIPA) is advantageous.


Experience Requirements

Minimum Experience: 0-2 years in a financial or administrative role.  

Role-Specific Experience: Exposure to accounting systems and financial processes is beneficial. 

Tools, Systems, and Programmes

  • Exposure to financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications 


Training and Development

General Training: Exposure to Knotion Consulting’s methodologies and tools. 

Role-Specific Training: Hands-on training in financial administration, reconciliations, and compliance.
