Position Title and Summary

Lead Consultant: 

A Lead Consultant drives large-scale client engagements, taking ownership of project success and delivering transformation initiatives. They oversee teams, manage client relationships, and align solutions with both client objectives and Knotion Consulting’s methodologies.

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide strategic leadership for client transformation initiatives. 
  • Develop high-level roadmaps and governance models for client organisations. 
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery. 
  • Build and maintain trusted partnerships with senior-level client stakeholders. 
  • Champion innovation by leveraging emerging trends and technologies. 
  • Deliver internal projects, including business development and process improvement initiatives. 


Reporting Structure

Reports To: Principal Consultant or Executive Consultant 

Direct Reports: Senior Consultants, Intermediate Consultants, and Junior Consultants 

Team Structure: Works within cross-functional project teams and collaborates with business leaders and client executives.

Technical Skills: 

  • Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, digital transformation, and operational frameworks. 
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, ArchiMate). 
  • Experience in designing and implementing governance models. 
  • Proficiency with enterprise architecture tools. 

 Soft Skills: 

  • Proven ability to manage and motivate diverse consulting teams. 
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Ability to influence and drive decision-making at senior levels. 

Personality Traits: 

  • Visionary and forward-thinking. 
  • Resilient under pressure and adaptable to change. 


Education and Qualifications

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. 

Role-Specific Qualifications: Certifications in enterprise architecture, process management and other IT fields are preferred.


Experience Requirements

Minimum Experience: 7+ years consulting background, including managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.

Role-Specific Experience: Demonstrated success in enterprise-wide strategy and transformation initiatives. 

Tools, Systems, and Programmes

  • Advanced proficiency with modelling and diagramming tools. 
  • Experience with project management and governance frameworks.


Training and Development

General Training: Exposure to Knotion Consulting’s methodologies and tools. 

Role-Specific Training: Advanced training in enterprise transformation and governance structures


Performance Metrics and KPIs

At Knotion, we leverage balanced scorecards, 360-degree feedback, and 1-on-1 sessions to continuously review, update, and align performance goals and objectives. The balanced scorecard serves as the cornerstone of position-based performance management, providing a clear, measurable framework. It is established at the start of each year to outline key metrics and expectations for every role. 

 

Throughout the year, 360-degree feedback and 1-on-1 sessions are conducted to ensure a dynamic and adaptive approach to performance management. These touchpoints allow for regular updates based on individual progress, evolving interests, personal development needs, and the strategic direction of the company. This integrated approach not only supports the growth and success of our employees but also ensures alignment with organisational goals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Special Requirements

Travel may be required based on client projects. 

Ability to work flexible hours if necessary to meet project deadlines.

The Lead Consultant position provides opportunities for advancement to roles such as Principal Consultant, Director of Enterprise Architecture, or Chief Architect.

Working Conditions

Work Environment: Primarily remote or office-based, with occasional on-site client work. 

Hours of Work: Standard business hours with flexibility for project needs. 


Salary

Market-competitive salary, negotiable based on experience.
