YOUR MISSION


Develop and maintain advanced credit risk models and risk assessment tools, driving high-quality credit decisions, reducing default rates, and supporting fraud detection. As a crucial member of our agile and collaborative Data Science team, you will play a pivotal role in translating data and analytics into concrete and strategic business value.


  • Lead the development and maintenance of advanced credit risk models, including credit scoring, fraud detection, and other risk assessment models
  • Monitor model performance and implement enhancements to improve predictive accuracy
  • Enhance model performance with advanced techniques and seek new data sources
  • Analyze data for insights and recommendations in underwriting and loan origination
  • Support the development of early warning systems, forecasting, and strategies to mitigate credit and operational risks
  • Stay current with modeling trends, guiding the team in best practices
  • Provide analytical insights to identify opportunities for process automation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with risk management, legal, and customer service teams


QUALIFICATIONS YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related STEM field
  • 4+ years of advanced analytics/data science experience, with a preference for risk-related experience
  • Proficiency in data analytics, statistics, modeling, and algorithms
  • Strong skills in data retrieval, processing, and programming using R and Python
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and extraction
  • Ability to identify business problems, design modeling solutions, and offer data-driven strategic recommendations
  • Effective collaboration within cross-functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex data-driven insights in English
  • Proactive and ownership-driven personality with a keen interest in statistical modeling and machine learning
  • Advantage: Knowledge of credit risk modeling, including scorecard development, probability of default, loss given default modeling, and hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau
