Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the purpose of this role is to provide technical assistance and support to engineers, ensuring the smooth execution of projects and the efficient functioning of engineering processes. You will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between engineers, clients, and other stakeholders, resolving technical issues, and contributing to the overall success of engineering projects.


The Role

This role encompasses the following responsibilities:


•                Provide timely and effective technical support to Engineers, Production and Quality.

•                Compilation of documentation for the fabrication, assembly and verification of antenna products.

•                Working with the Engineering, Production and Project Management teams to produce and maintain documentation packs for our antenna products on the ERP system.

•                Managing the document change request process as per the defined ISO9001 procedures, update 3D CAD models and associated documentation accordingly.

•                Assisting with the build of prototype systems and feeding back to Engineering any design changes required before the unit goes into production.

•                Work with the Quality department to ensure documentation packs are sufficient for all QA activities.

•                Provide management information for reporting purposes as required including defining and reporting on KPIs.

•                Adherence to all health, safety, environmental & quality policies and standards outlined by the company.

•                Any other duties as the business requires.


Key Competencies

•                Previous work experience in an Engineering, Production Support or relevant Production role.

•                Competent in the use of SolidWorks and Microsoft Office packages.

•                In-depth understanding of technical documentation.

•                Good interpersonal and planning skills.

•                The ability to work on your own initiative and/or as part of a team.

•                Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•                Ability to compose clear and concise reports & documentation.

•                Able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines consistently.

•                Ability to communicate complex technical issues in a simple and concise manner.

You will be educated to Diploma/Bachelors Degree level (Or equivalent) with a mechanical or electronic engineering background.

Useful Additional Experience
