We are seeking someone who is extremely organised and methodical to join our new team, which will be based in a soon to open facility in Tewkesbury. Please note; successful candidates will be required to complete their training at the Steatite site based in Redditch prior to the opening of the Tewkesbury site.


You will be working in a manufacturing business, for low volume, high quality specialised products. You will need to be an excellent team player, but also have the ability to work on your own. You will have excellent attention to detail and will pride yourself on the achievement of high-quality standards. You must be able to work effectively and inclusively with a range of people and be determined, resourceful and driven to deliver the best results, putting the customer at the heart of what you do, whilst supporting the business.

The Role

This role encompasses the following responsibilities:

·      Assembly and testing of electrical / computer-based components, products, and systems.

·      Understanding of technical documentation and drawings.

·      Communication of technical issues and escalations.

·      Mechanical assembly of components and products.

·      Maintaining accurate records.

·      Perform other duties in any area of the business as determined by the business.


Key Competencies/Requirements

·      Understanding of computer hardware components.

·      Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and applications.

·      A high level of manual dexterity required.

·      Diligently follow build process and assembly instructions to accurately achieve consistency and quality.

·      Must have excellent attention to detail.

·      Ability to work in an efficient, tidy and organised manner.

·      Ability to work within a team.

·      Ability to communicate effectively with both team members and other employees verbally.

·      Keen to learn, progress and develop knowledge across a wide range of products.

·      Ability to absorb new skills quickly through mentor and spot training.

·      Must be flexible and be adaptable to change with a positive and driven attitude.

·      Excellent work ethic with the ability to work to deadlines.

·      Must be reasonably fit and able as the role may involve a physical element.

Useful Additional Experience

·      Experience of cable assembly, harnessing and looms.

·      Soldering experience to J-STD level.

·      Awareness or certification in IPC standards IPC-610 and IPC-620.

·      Good understanding of mechanical assembly and Standards.
