Description

As a Scheduler/Planner at Steatite, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising development and production schedules to meet customer demands, delivery schedules and to efficiently manage our resources and facilities within the Antennas Business Unit in Leominster. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Engineering, Production, Procurement, Sales, Projects and Operations, to facilitate smooth operation of business in-hand, facilitate forward-looking Sales plan and maintain our high-quality standards.

The Role

This role encompasses the following responsibilities:

·       Work closely with department stakeholders to develop and maintain overall schedules for resource and facility loading based on customer orders and Sales forecasts.

·      Analyse schedule data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement with department leads.

·      Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and components are reflected in the overall plan and allow scheduling of dependent resources.

·      Work alongside Engineering and Production teams to align resources and address any scheduling conflicts.

·      Monitor progress, adjust schedules as necessary, and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.

·      Work closely with Sales to assess the potential impact of new orders on delivery schedules for current projects.

·      Prepare and present reports on Engineering, Production, and Facility performance and capacity to management.

·      Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity and quality enhancement.

·      Any other duties relevant to your role 

Key Competencies

  • Proven experience as a Scheduler/Planner or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.



Useful Additional Experience

The following experience would be advantageous, but is not essential:

  • Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Project management in an Engineering company
  • Experience with planning, scheduling or resource management software.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor).
  • APICS or CPIM certification is a plus.
