Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager on a 12-mnth fixed term contract to implement, oversee and optimize the supply chain processes within our Antennas Business Unit in Leominster. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and approving suppliers, ensuring the timely and efficient flow of materials, products, and services, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, security, compliance, and resilience.


You will possess an excellent understanding of supply-chain concepts and best practice, together with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

The Role

This role encompasses the following responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

·      Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with objectives of the Antennas Business Group.

·      Collaborate with key stakeholders to align supply chain goals with broader business goals.

Supplier Management:

·      Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliability, quality, and security.

·      Manage onboarding of new suppliers working with Quality and Engineering Teams to understand capabilities and ensure alignment with Antennas Business Unit supplier requirements.

·      Negotiate contracts and agreements, and regularly evaluate supplier performance.

Risk Management:

·      Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential disruptions and develop mitigation plans to ensure timely delivery of all materials, components and services.

·      Implement strategies to enhance supply chain resilience against geopolitical, economic, and security threats.

Compliance and Security:

·      Ensure supply chain compliance with all legislative requirements, international trade regulations, export controls, and security standards.

Inventory Control:

·      Optimize inventory levels and implement efficient inventory management practices.

·      Develop strategies to manage and control stockpiles of critical components and materials.

Logistics Optimization:

·      Provide input to shipping and logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

·      Collaborate with logistics partners to streamline transportation and shipping processes.

·      Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity and quality enhancement.

·      Any other duties relevant to your role 

Key Competencies

·      Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably within an engineering industry.

·      Strong knowledge of shipping processes, trade regulations, and relevant military and dual-use export controls.

·      Demonstrated experience in implementing and optimizing supply chain technologies.

·      Excellent negotiation, and communication skills.

·      Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Useful Additional Experience

The following experience is advantageous but not essential:



  • Experience with planning, scheduling or resource management software.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor).
  • APICS or CPIM certification is advantageous.
