We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee key contracts across South Lanarkshire, ensuring successful project delivery from initial planning to mobilisation. The role involves strategic planning, progress evaluation, and implementation, working closely with clients to meet project objectives efficiently.

Key Tasks

  • Oversee the delivery of planned M&E works, ensuring projects are completed within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Assist in the preparation of quotes and estimates for remedial and project works.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and supply chain management.
  • Manage the reactive maintenance delivery and any additional works required.
  • Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are available for all tasks to maintain safe working practices.
  • Review engineers' gas certificates to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure all activities align with Cenergist’s quality and environmental management systems, adhering to relevant HSE and environmental legislation.
  • Supervise subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual commitments and site operating processes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Attend client and contractor meetings, providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Submit weekly written reports to the Deputy Director, Operations.
  • Manage and resolve queries or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in operational meetings, contributing insights and updates on project performance.
  • Ensure project records are maintained in line with company procedures and GDPR compliance. Coordinate project activities with engineers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution.
  • Monitor and evaluate project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in alignment with company and project objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in M&E system design and renewable energy technologies, including CHP, heat pumps, communal heating systems, and district heating systems.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 Heating & Ventilation (or equivalent).
  • ECS Grade card (Project Manager) & SMSTS Certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft – Word, Excel, and Project Management Software

Demonstratable Experience

  • Strong technical understanding and previous experience managing multiple sites.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience in building services, M&E Systems, and renewable energy technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interact sensitively with stakeholders.
  • Using computers and computer systems to enter data, or process information.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team to achieve common objectives.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to CHP systems, heat pumps, communal heating, district heating, and commercial plant rooms.
