Examiner-Marker (Counselling)

Hours per week: Contracted, Freelance

Salary/Fee: Fee per assessment, based on daily rate

Location: Multiple locations across the UK. Occasional travel to AIM HQ in Derby may be required

AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group is a registered charity operating as an awarding organisation, Access to HE validating agency and end-point assessment organisation. We have offices based in Derby and Wolverhampton and are dedicated to offering a high quality, efficient and effective service whilst remaining supportive and accessible.

Summary of the role

 We are currently recruiting freelance examiners for our Level 3 Certificate in Counselling, Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Practice examinations and our Level 4, 5 and 6 externally marked coursework/assessments. The qualifications have two examination series per academic year as does the coursework/assessments. There is a requirement to attend mandatory training as required.

Who are we looking for?

• You will need to mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained
• You will be required to submit samples to AIM at designated times
• You will need to ensure milestones for marking are adhered to
• You will work accurately and consistently, and at times to tight timescales
• You will ensure all administration is completed as specified

Skills and experience required

• You must be a qualified counsellor registered with a relevant professional body (such as BACP, NCS)
• You will ideally have a degree or equivalent industry experience in Counselling 
• You will have teaching/training experience of the relevant subject and level (in Counselling)
• You will have experience of marking (Desirable)
