Location: Remote, with travel to your region of responsibility as the business requires                 


Contract type: Permanent


Hours of work: 40 hours p/w (Mon - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm)


Salary: £60,000.00 per annum

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Strategic Operations Lead, the Initial Accommodation (IA) Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the operational strategy for the business and has management responsibility for the IA Team Leaders.

 

The IA Operations has responsibility for the leadership and management of staff and key stakeholders, performance management via data interrogation, analysis and interpretation; risk management; briefing across the organisation; ensuring compliance against contractual and legislative requirements; and adherence against all company policies and procedures. The IA Operations Manager will be expected to achieve a high standard of service and customer satisfaction through providing effective leadership, coaching and motivation of a team and will have a strong understanding and demonstrable experience within contract management and operations, and extensive experience of people management. 



Duties and Responsibilities

Procedures

  • Responsibility for ensuring that all their team comply with and adhere to all company policies and processes, legislation, and contractual requirements and are managing their teams effectively.
  • Responsibility for interrogating and managing performance, ensuring effective deployment of resources, and that all work processes are allocated and planned to assure against all contractual obligations and KPIs.
  • Support the Strategic Operations Lead with management oversight of the IA Hotels and Self Run sites, with Line Management responsibility of the IA Team Leaders within this function.
  • To support the Strategic Operations Lead to manage subcontractors’ performance and ensure CRH polices are being followed and the highest standard of delivery is being provided.
  • The IA Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the IA team strive to achieve a high standard of service and customer satisfaction, through effective leadership, to deliver against Key Performance Indicators.
  • Responsible for the management oversight of Operational Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring that these are effective and are reviewed regularly.
  • The IA Operations Manager will contribute to Business Continuity Plans and ensure they are created in line with the Operational Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Oversight for performance management, working with the Strategic Operational Leads to promote new innovative ways of working.
  • Ensure that a system of quality assurance and compliance checks across all areas of responsibility.
  • Utilise commercial awareness and understanding of wider business priorities to drive performance and productivity within your team.
  • Maintain performance oversight through regular interrogation of data; and early analysis and briefing, as risks present.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership of all team members, by:
  • Implementing systems of assurance and due diligence to maintain compliance and the standards of their property portfolio and support the accommodated Service Users.
  • Adhering to and applying all HR policies (including one to ones, performance management, coaching.
  • Regularly reviewing and maintaining the awareness of team capability to ensure training and development is provided to support the requirements of the contract; and overarching commercial requirements.
  • Supporting the Strategic Operations Lead produce high quality, well written and accurate, high-level briefing papers and reports for the Director to utilise in preparation for responses to key stakeholders (Board, Home Office); including review and recommendations, based on clear, considered and costed business implications and proposals.
  • Management of risk measurement process, oversight and mitigation through a process of local (Regional) risk register.
  • Ensuring awareness of litigation in your area of responsibility; and contribution as necessary.
  • Develop individual performance through monthly one-to-one reviews, PDP’s and regular appraisals.

  • Working remotely, you may be required to travel at times therefore a valid UK driver’s licence is essential and flexibility to travel when needed.
  • Flexible approach to deal with short notice changes to requirements adaption of style and priorities to meet deadlines.
  • To attend IA sites producing and tracking improvement plans and share best practice across the regions.
  • Any other duties within the scope of responsibility and ability, as required, inclusive of providing similar support to any other company projects or departments.
