We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate HR and Recruitment Administrator to work within newly established internal Human Resources Department to support Dublin Zoo in reaching its conservation education strategic objectives.

The HR and Recruitment Administrator will be responsible for the daily management of the departments Administrative and Recruitment responsibilities, acting as a first point of contact for our employees and department leads.

Duties And Responsibilities:

The HR and Recruitment Administrator will support the HR Department of Dublin Zoo, ensuring the seamless execution of HR and Recruitment processes. The focus will be on ensuring a consistent and effective support for managers while also enhancing the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee HR queries.
  • Provide HR administrative support across various functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Facilitate effective communication between HR Department and all other teams within Dublin Zoo, particularly regarding changes in employee terms, conditions, and contract renewals.
  • Maintain and update employee files, records, and the HR database, ensuring compliance with all leave and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of new hires, training, and site induction documentation.
  • Support recruitment efforts by posting job vacancies, shortlisting applications, coordinating interviews, and managing candidate communications.
  • Prepare and generate monthly reports, eventually taking ownership of key reports to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Manage specific administrative tasks including scheduling and coordinating training
  • Support the delivery of key department projects including the integration of a new organisation values system, the ongoing implementation of Sage HRIS and the development of companywide training plans.
  • Monitor and action queries from the HR mailbox, escalating as required.
  • Develop expertise in the HRIS – Sage HR – and act as a support for managers and employees.
  • General administrative task that are requested by the HR Manager/ Zoo Director


Requirements

  • Prior HR Experience in the Irish market, preferably in customer service or hospitality sectors.
  • Knowledge of Irish HR Operations and legislation
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a project group.
