Asst Financial Controller - 3 Month FTC

Dublin Zoo is currently seeking to recruit a highly organized Assistant Financial Controller to join our busy, well-established Finance Department for a three month fixed term contract.

They will be responsible for day to day management of the Finance Function in Dublin Zoo whilst aligning the activities of the Finance Team to the overall company vision, mission, and objectives while always ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.

They will also have responsibility for financial management, reporting and controls, including, preparation of annual financial statements and external auditors and interacting with internal and external stakeholders on all financial related matters.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to lead and manage a team in a fact paced, dynamic and changing environment.

Applicants must have an appropriate professional qualification (ACA ACCA, ACMA) and 3 years’ post qualification experience in a similar senior role in an organization with similar scale and complexity of operations would be a distinct advantage.

They must also have ttechnical knowledge in the areas of financial accounting and reporting management accounting and financial planning, general business, information technology and taxation and an understanding of the application of legislation, to the financial requirements of the Company
