Description

The Systems Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integrated IT systems and solutions that enable seamless communication and interoperability across various platforms and technologies. This role requires a strong understanding of system architecture, networking, software, and hardware components to ensure optimal system performance and data flow.


Key Roles:

  • Analyse, design, and implement integration solutions between multiple software applications, hardware systems, and network components.
  • Develop and maintain system interfaces, middleware, and APIs to enable effective data exchange.
  • Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and project managers to ensure systems meet technical and business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues promptly to minimize system downtime.
  • Perform system testing and validation to ensure integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Document system configurations, integration processes, and technical specifications.
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve integration efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide technical support and training for end-users and stakeholders regarding integrated systems.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, industry standards, and company policies during system integration projects.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in systems integration, software development, or IT infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of integration tools and platforms such as REST/SOAP APIs, ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), middleware, and message brokers.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and SaaS integration is a plus.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL).
  • Understanding of networking protocols, databases, and operating systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications such as PMP, TOGAF, or specific integration tool certifications.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles related to system integration.
