Business Analyst and Systems Architect

Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Business Analyst and Systems Architect to lead the design, analysis, and implementation of secure, scalable, and efficient systems within the EPWP environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cybersecurity and business continuity, with a strong background in IT systems architecture and business process analysis.


The role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translating them into technical solutions, and ensuring the security and resilience of systems. You will also be responsible for aligning IT strategies with organizational goals and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document business processes, requirements, and workflows.
  • Design and architect secure IT systems.
  • Lead cybersecurity and business continuity planning and implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration and performance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and developers.
  • Prepare detailed reports, system documentation, and presentations for stakeholders


Requirements

  • Education:
  • NQF Level 7 qualification or higher in Information Technology or a related field.


  • Certifications (at least one of the following):
  • AMBCI (Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute)
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • PenTest+
  • Information Systems Security Professional


  • Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity and/or business continuity consulting.
