ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Control Panel Builder to join our team in Sheffield on a contractual basis. This role will involve fitting out wiring and testing of bespoke control system panels using provided layout and wiring drawings and ensuring that all work is done to company standards.


In addition, the role will also involve identifying and assisting with resolving any issues found during the manufacturing process in collaboration with the engineering design team.

SUMMARY OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:


  • Undertake a wide range of tasks related to the manufacture, delivery and installation of Process Control and Safety solutions, principally in the Oil, Gas, Power and Infrastructure industries.
  • Assemble, wire and test panels in accordance with the issued drawings, schedules, company standards and client specifications.
  • Work as part of the manufacturing team, assisting other team members when needed.
  • Resolve issues discovered during the manufacturing process, liaising with the hardware design team, and keeping the manufacturing manager updated.
  • Suggest changes and improvements if opportunities arise.
  • Always work pro-actively to ensure the manufacturing process remains safe and efficient.
  • Work flexibly to meet the demands of our workload. This could involve working overtime.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for:


Essential

  • Previous experience in the manufacture of bespoke electrical control panels
  • Good demonstration ability to read and interpret panel drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Fast, neat worker
  • Good communication skills


Desirable

  • Full driving licence
