Globe Theatre is seeking a highly organized, dynamic, and leadership-driven individual to join the team as Artistic Producer. Reporting to both the Artistic Director and Executive Director, the Artistic Producer (AP) will serve as a senior leader within the organization.
At Globe Theatre, the Artistic Director (AD) is responsible for shaping the organization’s artistic identity and curating the programming in alignment with its mission, values, and community. The Executive Director (ED) oversees strategic and financial leadership, including revenue generation, governance, human resources, and administration. Together, the AD and ED serve as co-heads of the organization. While some responsibilities are distinct, many are shared or complementary, and the Artistic Producer works closely with both, serving as the bridge between vision and execution.
The AP plays a key leadership role in translating the artistic vision into deliverable, high-quality, and sustainable productions throughout the organization. They ensure that programming aligns with operational capacity, community priorities, and funder expectations.
Working cross-departmentally, the AP ensures the company’s programming is clearly communicated and effectively executed across the organization, while also being meaningfully represented to audiences and community partners.
The AP will work with the ED and HR consultant to develop cohesive practices and procedures that support a healthy and inclusive work environment. These practices will be tailored to the AP’s areas of oversight while aligning with and supporting the company-wide mandate.
This role will be closely connected to diversifying the Globe’s revenue streams to support long-term sustainability across the organization. In collaboration with various departments and working closely with the Artistic Director and Director of Engagement, the Artistic Producer will help develop and support programs that generate new revenue. The role will contribute meaningfully to the dramaturgy of the company’s mission, exploring how we engage with community members, patrons, and businesses, while placing artistic work in the public sphere. The AP will also help conceive and shape auxiliary events that animate both the company and its programming.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of producing multiple artistic projects consecutively, managing educational operations, and running a producing/ presenting house.
This is a pivotal leadership position requiring vision, decisiveness, strategic thinking, and compassion. As the Globe Theatre enters a phase of significant growth following the expansion of its facility, the Artistic Producer will be instrumental in guiding this next chapter of the company’s evolution.
