Job Description

The Patron Services Team is a responsible for Box Office; ticket sales, scanning tickets, as well as bartenders and ushers for the theatre’s productions in conjunction with the Manager of Sales & Patron Services. This is a part-time seasonal position with hours that are mostly evenings and weekends.



Successful candidates will need strong customer service skills. They must be a team player who thrives in a creative, collaborative environment. As well as being high-energy and self-motivated with a willingness to learn and a passion for the arts. Possessing knowledge of ticketing & point of sale systems, as well as bartending experience would be an asset.

Qualifications

- Great customer service and interpersonal skills.

- Strong computer skills.

- Bartending/service experience is an asset, but not a requirement (will need valid SIRS certification).

- The ability to handle and reconcile a cash float.

- Ability to work on your feet for 90 minutes and lift heavy objects (bar stock, Box Office supplies).


Roles and Responsibilities

- Provide outstanding customer service to patrons at the assigned location.

- Assist with coat check, tickets, programs, seating and any special needs of patrons.

- Stock and set up bar prior to patrons' arrival. Bartend during pre-show & intermission.

- Assist in keeping the theatre environment tidy and orderly including lobby, Box Office, washrooms and bars while performance is on stage.

- Record sales on shift, count and balance the proceeds and complete a sales remittance form. Be responsible for cash float.

- To perform specific duties according to Globe’s Emergency Response Plan.

Compensation:


  • This role is a part-time seasonal position. It will require weekend and evening work, as well as some statutory holidays.  
  • Wage: Hourly $16.25
