Role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Growth to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth for our retail and in-store media business. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing scalable growth strategies, managing and overseeing account performance, leveraging data-driven insights, and fostering innovation across our offerings to maximize market penetration and business impact. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Growth Strategy Development:

  • Define and implement a comprehensive in-market growth strategy that aligns with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Identify and prioritize new business opportunities, including partnerships, market segments, and product innovations.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to maintain a competitive edge.


Customer Relationship Management

  • Act as the retailer's day-to-day point of contact, providing strategic guidance on retail media opportunities.
  • Collaborate with retailer teams to align media strategies with broader business goals and shopper insights.
  • Host quarterly business reviews (QBRs), share insights, and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Harness the best of Barrows to support the retailer deliver on their unique growth strategy.


Revenue Growth, Yield Optimization & Customer Acquisition:

  • Develop strategies to expand the client base investing in our network, focusing on brands, advertisers, and agencies.
  • Design and implement customer acquisition campaigns that leverage digital and in-store media channels.
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities across existing clients.
  • Develop strategies to optimize yield across retailers’ in-store media network, ensuring inventory is fully utilized.
  • Analyze campaign and network performance data to identify areas for improvement and revenue growth.
  • Partner with retailer media sales teams and leads to maximise intake and brand participation on the program.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and adjust strategies to maximize profitability.


Product Development & Innovation:

  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to enhance the value proposition of in-store retail media solutions.
  • Champion new product initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.


Data-Driven Optimization:

  • Use analytics and performance data to refine growth strategies and measure ROI.
  • Establish KPIs for growth initiatives and deliver actionable insights through regular reporting.
  • Leverage customer insights and behavioral data to inform decision-making.


Leadership & Team Building:

  • Build and lead a high-performing growth team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, and operations, to achieve growth objectives.
  • Act as a thought leader and advocate for growth within the organization.


Brand Development & Positioning:

  • Drive brand awareness initiatives to position the company as a leader in retail and in-store media.
  • Oversee marketing strategies that elevate the company’s reputation and attract top-tier advertisers.
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in growth, business development, or strategy roles, ideally in retail media, advertising, or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and scaling business operations.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in using data to drive decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver measurable results.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with retail media platforms, in-store technologies, and programmatic advertising tools.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar advantageous.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $200,000 to $275,000*

*exact compensation will be determined based on individual experience
