What you will be doing

  The role requires Access to HE Associates to 


• Carry out sampling for qualifications as per subject expertise in line with the AIM

Access to HE Sampling Strategy

• Produce high quality Access monitoring reports within the documented SLAs

• Highlight good practice and set actions where relevant and make

recommendations to further enhance the quality of centre’s provision

• Be familiar with qualification requirements and specifications in order to verify

learners and centres compliance when claiming and authorising awards

• Escalate all second samples to the Access to HE Manager

• Accurately report incidents of suspected malpractice to the Access to HE

Manager and support investigations if required

• Report any centre intelligence obtained from carrying out Access to HE

monitoring to the Access to HE Manager

• Attend and actively participate in AIM Access to HE standardisation activities

• Participate as appropriate in the evaluation and review of the Access to HE

Diplomas in order to support continuous improvement.

Motor Sport

Travel and Tourism

Sustainability

Games Design and Development 


Training for the role of Access to HE Associate will be provided if your application is successful. 


Access to HE Associates are contracted on an annual basis and are not directly employed by the AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group. Therefore, this is a great opportunity to become a Moderator in addition to your current role. 


We would love to hear from you if you have the following essential requirements /qualifications:


• Professional qualification at level 5 or above, and or relevant experience

• Hold a teaching qualification or equivalent qualification. 

• Understanding of cross sector post 16 education and lifelong learning

• Knowledge and or experience of Access to HE  

• Knowledge of awarding body and regulatory structures 

• Experience of quality assurance processes and procedures 

• Experience of writing reports 

• Knowledge of current education legislation 

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills 

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of organisations and

individuals 

• High level of motivation and enthusiasm 

• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines 

• High levels of personal organisation, diligence and integrity 

• Have well developed managerial, interpersonal and team development skills 

• Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality when required
