About The Role

As a Marketplace Category Manager for the Ovoko Marketplace, you will win market share by strategically managing your categories to deliver growth. Your focus will be on optimizing the marketplace range and the merchant mix to craft compelling offers and ensure optimal availability to meet customer demand and needs. You will architect long-term growth for Ovoko and our merchants while also ensuring alignment between cross-functional teams, your category strategy, and the overall Marketplace strategy. You will position Ovoko as the destination marketplace for used car engines and gearboxes.

In This Role, You Will

  • Achieve marketplace category GMV growth targets.
  • Build and execute the long-term category growth strategy for marketplace products.
  • Use data to meet growth targets.
  • Foster healthy competition for the best offers.
  • Lead category-specific projects, including tech deployments, campaign launches, and marketing events.
  • Coordinate with other internal teams to ensure adequate support in areas like supply chain, customer service, and marketing; ensuring that changes in our business create win-win scenarios for Ovoko and our merchants.
  • Ensure merchants in your categories meet and exceed their quality metrics.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in the commercial/trading function of an e-commerce marketplace, digital platform, or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of e-commerce sales drivers.
  • Self-esteem to drive changes and build up business in dynamic environments
  • Previous experience in a scale-up business and/or in the automotive sector is a huge plus.
  • Data driven and analytical mindset;
  • Comfortable generating and evaluating forecasts, metrics, and analyses to measure and act on trading performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with clear logical thinking. You like taking charge in ambiguous situations and are creative enough to come up with scalable solutions to day-to-day operational challenges.
  • You can plan, build consensus, communicate, and influence internal and external stakeholders.

Salary

The offered salary range for this position is 3300 - 5000 € (gross) per month. Please keep in mind that we are also open to discuss your salary expectations based on your competencies and experience.
