What you will do:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Field Collections & Asset Recovery Manager to lead our last-mile asset recovery operations. This critical role involves managing a team focused on the field collection and recovery of assets, primarily vehicles and motorbikes (boda-bodas), for our offline units. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in investigative functions, particularly within the insurance, auctioneering, or similar challenging recovery environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of field collection and asset recovery specialists, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Last-Mile Asset Recovery: Oversee and strategically direct the recovery of vehicles and motorbikes, including complex or problematic cases, ensuring successful retrieval of assets.
  • Investigative Functions:
  • Conduct thorough interviews with potential witnesses and subjects of investigations to gather crucial information.
  • Liaise with various governmental and non-governmental agencies to obtain necessary records and documentation during investigations.
  • Perform in-depth background research on individuals and companies relevant to ongoing investigations.
  • Identify, research, and acquire relevant local and international databases to enhance investigative capabilities.
  • Conduct proactive, topic-based research pertinent to the general context of investigations.
  • Information & Evidence Security: Ensure the secure management and storage of all information, documents, and evidence related to investigations.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare concise, timely, and accurate reports on all investigative and recovery activities as required.
  • Operational Excellence: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in field collections and asset recovery.



What you will need:

  • University degree in Criminology, Investigations, Security management, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
  • Formal training and/or certification in various law enforcement methodologies/fraud examination or investigation.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5-7 years) in a similar role within an insurance company, auctioneering firm, or an investigative function specifically dealing with challenging asset recovery or debt collection.
  • A background of strong fraud and investigation focus is an added advantage.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in theories, concepts and approaches relevant to investigations and practical use of investigation techniques.
  • Flexibility to work several weeks in the field and to travel to different regions.
  • Previous working experience in a financial institution/ Knowledge of banking ]
  • Strong coordination, planning and leadership skills including ability to influence Senior Managers by consistent and clear communication.
