ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a dynamic, field-driven Product Manager to lead the improvement of our smartphones product offering in Kenya. This role will be central to understanding how our sales and customer apps perform on the ground, ensuring they meet the needs of customers, sales agents, and support teams.

You’ll work closely with other country PMs and the central product team to turn local insights into scalable improvements and help shape the roadmap for our apps and related platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Field Research & Stakeholder Engagement
• Regularly visit sales agents, shops, and customers to observe app usage and collect real-world feedback.
• Interview sales reps, customer support teams, and customers to understand pain points and emerging needs.
• Compile findings into clear insights to inform product direction.
• App Testing & Evaluation
• Test both the customer-facing and internal sales apps for usability, functionality, and performance.
• Identify bugs, UX issues, and improvement opportunities through hands-on use and structured testing.
• Product Improvement & Ticketing
• Translate field feedback and test findings into clear, actionable tickets using tools like Jira or Trello.
• Prioritize issues based on impact and collaborate with designers and engineers to refine solutions.
• Cross-Market Collaboration
• Work with Product Managers in other markets to identify common challenges and align on shared feature requirements.
• Participate in roadmap discussions and help define scalable features that can work across different markets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, or related field.
• A minimum of of 5 years in product-related roles (either from business or technical). 
• Background in sales or operations, especially in a micro finance environment. 
• Excellent Interpersonal skills.
