ABOUT THE ROLE

The Event Manager, reporting to the Head of Marketing, will collaborate with departments and teams across BETBY and as well with multiple external contractors and event organisers, to plan, execute, and manage a diverse range of events, including global industry events.  

REQUIREMENTS

  • Hands-on experience in event management, including conferences and exhibitions
  • Proven track record of working with multiple external contractors, venues, and suppliers globally
  • Solid understanding of venue rules, technical procedures, and event logistics
  • Experience managing event budgets, invoicing, and reporting
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships with people at all levels
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach to tasks
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to take full ownership of projects

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hands-on experience in event management, including conferences and exhibitions
  • Experience in the iGaming conference and exhibition industry
  • Background in organizing industry awards and social events
  • Proven track record of working with multiple external contractors, venues, and suppliers globally
  • Solid understanding of venue rules, technical procedures, and event logistics
  • Experience managing event budgets, invoicing, and reporting
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships with people at all levels
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach to tasks

PERKS AND BENEFITS

  • Experience writing custom MCP servers/connectors
  • Experience setting up guardrails/conventions for AI-assisted development in a team setting
  • Exposure to evaluating multiple AI platforms (e.g. Claude, Amazon Q, Cursor) for the same use case
  • Familiarity with function calling / tool use patterns in LLM APIs
  • Basic understanding of RAG approaches — when it's worth connecting external data sources to a model, and when it isn't
