About Paybis

Paybis is a global fintech company in the crypto and payments space, founded in 2014. As of 2026: 6.8M+ users, 180+ countries, $5B+ in lifetime transaction volume, $2B in volume in 2025 alone (+266% YoY). Recognised as Best Crypto Payments Provider at AIBC Awards Dubai 2026. Self-funded, profitable.

Mobile is our primary growth channel. We are building a native iOS/Android app as the core user-facing product — and we are hiring a Senior iOS Developer to join the team.

The Role

You will work on a native iOS application that processes real financial transactions for real users. You will take full ownership of features end-to-end — from architecture decisions to production release — and contribute to the quality and reliability of the iOS codebase as a whole.

Security, reliability, and code quality are non-negotiable — not aspirational.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Design, develop and ship production-ready iOS features using Swift — UIKit and SwiftUI in production
  • Make and defend architectural decisions within your scope — MVVM / Clean Architecture / VIPER: know when to use what and why
  • Build and maintain iOS CI/CD pipelines: Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, or GitLab CI
  • Contribute to App Store lifecycle: provisioning, TestFlight, submission, App Review
  • Write clean, performant, testable Swift code — uphold code quality standards in review
  • Implement mobile security requirements: Keychain, Secure Enclave, biometric auth, certificate pinning, jailbreak detection
  • Collaborate with Backend, Product, Design, and QA — represent iOS in cross-team conversations
  • Create technical documentation for iOS components you own
  • Participate in sprint planning, product design sessions, and roadmap discussions

What We're Looking For

Must have:

  • 4+ years of commercial iOS development in Swift
  • Deep UIKit command — custom components, complex layouts, performance optimisation
  • Solid SwiftUI production experience — real screens shipped, not prototypes
  • Good command of architectural patterns: MVVM, VIPER, Clean Architecture — knows when to use which
  • Swift Concurrency (async/await) and Combine — used in production
  • Memory management: solid ARC understanding, can find and fix retain cycles and memory leaks
  • REST API integration: URLSession/Alamofire, error handling, retry logic, token refresh
  • Mobile security: Keychain, Secure Enclave, biometric auth, certificate pinning, jailbreak detection
  • iOS CI/CD: Fastlane, Xcode Cloud or GitLab CI — has worked with pipelines
  • App Store lifecycle: provisioning, TestFlight, App Review — end-to-end experience
  • Testing: XCTest unit and UI tests — writes testable code
  • English B2+ — PRs, tickets, async communication
  • Ownership mindset — drives tasks to completion without micromanagement

Nice to have:

  • Experience in fintech, crypto, payments or banking mobile apps
  • KYC SDK integration (Sumsub, Onfido or similar)
  • Payment SDK integration at iOS level (Checkout.com, Stripe, etc.)
  • Real-time data: WebSocket or SSE for live crypto prices or order status
  • Firebase suite: Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, A/B testing
  • Performance profiling with Instruments
  • SwiftLint or other static analysis tooling
  • Familiarity with modular iOS architecture (Swift Packages, feature modules)
  • AI tools in daily development (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.)

Tech Stack

Swift · UIKit · SwiftUI · Swift Concurrency (async/await) · Combine · MVVM / VIPER / Clean Architecture · XCTest · Fastlane / GitLab CI/CD · Keychain · Secure Enclave · REST · WebSocket · KYC SDK integration

What Success Looks Like

First 30 days — Onboarded into the codebase and team processes. First features in development. Understand team architecture and stack.

First 90 days — Shipping features independently. Actively contributing to code review and technical discussions. Trusted member of the iOS team.

First 6 months — Consistent delivery of high-quality production features. Proactively identifies and improves areas of the codebase. Acts as a reliable technical contributor in cross-functional discussions.

Interview Process

  1. Technical interview
  2. Cultural fit interview with HRD
  3. Final interview with Engineering leadership

What We Offer

  • Ownership of features end-to-end — from architecture to production
  • Real product at scale: 6.9M users, $5B+ lifetime volume — your code runs in production
  • Product company, not an agency — you own what you build, end to end
  • Modern, clean stack: Swift, SwiftUI, native iOS — no Objective-C legacy
  • Fintech + crypto domain: technically challenging, non-trivial security and UX challenges
  • Remote-first, high autonomy, minimal micromanagement
  • Self-funded, stable company — no investor pressure

Be aware

  • Fast pace and shifting priorities — adaptability is not optional
  • High bar for quality, security, and reliability — real user money is at stake
  • Compliance constraints shape some engineering decisions

Paybis is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome engineers who write clean Swift every day and take ownership seriously.
