Mobile is our primary growth channel. We are building a native iOS/Android app as the core user-facing product — and we are hiring a Senior Android Developer to join the team.

The Role

You will work on a native Android application that processes real financial transactions for real users. You will take full ownership of features end-to-end — from architecture decisions to production release — and contribute to the quality and reliability of the Android codebase as a whole.

Security, reliability, and code quality are non-negotiable — not aspirational.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Design, develop and ship production-ready Android features in Kotlin — Jetpack Compose and XML Views in production
  • Make and defend architectural decisions within your scope — MVVM + Clean Architecture / MVI: know when to use what and why
  • Build and maintain Android CI/CD pipelines: GitLab CI, Fastlane, or Bitrise
  • Contribute to Google Play lifecycle: app signing, keystore management, release tracks, Play Console
  • Write clean, performant, testable Kotlin code — uphold code quality standards in review
  • Implement mobile security requirements: Android Keystore, EncryptedSharedPreferences, biometric auth, root detection, SSL/certificate pinning
  • Configure and own Jetpack suite: ViewModel, StateFlow, Navigation, Room, WorkManager
  • Collaborate with Backend, Product, Design, and QA — represent Android in cross-team conversations
  • Create technical documentation for Android components you own
  • Participate in sprint planning, product design sessions, and roadmap discussions

What We're Looking For

Must have:

  • 4+ years of commercial Android development in Kotlin — idiomatic Kotlin, not Java-in-Kotlin
  • Jetpack Compose in production — real screens shipped to users, not demos
  • Strong XML/View system foundation alongside Compose
  • Good command of architectural patterns: MVVM + Clean Architecture — can articulate trade-offs vs MVI
  • Kotlin Coroutines and Flow — used in production
  • Memory management: solid understanding, can identify and fix leaks
  • Networking: Retrofit + OkHttp, interceptors, token refresh, robust error handling
  • Android security: EncryptedSharedPreferences, Android Keystore, biometric auth, root detection, SSL/certificate pinning
  • Dependency injection: Hilt/Dagger — production experience
  • Android CI/CD: GitLab CI, Bitrise or Fastlane — has worked with pipelines
  • Google Play lifecycle: app signing, release tracks, Play Console — end-to-end experience
  • Testing: JUnit, Mockk — writes testable code
  • English B2+ — PRs, tickets, async communication
  • Ownership mindset — drives tasks to completion without micromanagement


Nice to have:

  • Experience in fintech, crypto, payments or banking Android apps
  • KYC SDK integration (Sumsub, Onfido or similar) on Android
  • Payment SDK integration at Android level (Checkout.com, Stripe, etc.)
  • Real-time data: WebSocket or SSE for live crypto prices or order status
  • Firebase suite: Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, A/B testing
  • Multi-module Android architecture — feature modules experience
  • Performance profiling with Android Studio Profiler
  • Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) — any exposure
  • Detekt or other static analysis tooling
  • AI tools in daily development (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.)

What Success Looks Like

First 30 days — Onboarded into the codebase and team processes. First features in development. Understand team architecture and stack.

First 90 days — Shipping features independently. Actively contributing to code review and technical discussions. Trusted member of the Android team.

First 6 months — Consistent delivery of high-quality production features. Proactively identifies and improves areas of the codebase. Acts as a reliable technical contributor in cross-functional discussions.
