The Role

The Restaurant Supervisor will report directly to the Restaurant Manager and will be required to assist with organizing and directing a team in order to deliver a top quality product, with a prompt, accurate and personalized service.


Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop an active Meet and Greet program for all Guests to ensure a high degree of repeat clientele
  • Supervise all Waiters/Waitresses and Assistant Waiters/Waitresses
  • Ensure the Food & Beverage Outlet is set up correctly and completed 15 minutes prior to service, lending assistance to team members
  • Warmly welcomes and seats guests, helps them select food and beverages, takes orders accurately identifying any special dietary requirements, checks for their satisfaction and handles complaints
  • Serve food, wine and beverages, refills water and wine glasses, removes plates, cutlery, ashtrays and glasses from tables, replenishing when necessary and resets tables in a timely manner
  • Effectively monitor the station through observance and teamwork, ensuring presence is always visible on the floor
  • Provide post meal service and liaises with the guests on their dining experience
  • Ensure that cleanliness of the Food & Beverage Outlet, front and back of house is maintained
  • Ensure all Five Diamond, Triple AAA and Leading Hotels Standards are consistently upheld

 


Requirements

 

Our ideal candidate must possess:

 

  •    Minimum of (2 to 3)two to three years previous experience working in a senior position in the service industry
  • A good secondary school level education
  •   Good leadership, communication skills and numeracy skills
  •  A knowledge of food, wine and spirits
  • An enthusiastic attitude and high standards of grooming 
  • An awareness of health and safety issues
  • The ability to work under stress calmly and professionally in a busy environment.
