Location: Home Based with occasional site visits (South East & East of England )


Contract type: Permanent


Hours of work: 40 hours p/w (Mon - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm)


Salary: £37,200.00 - £45,000.00 per annum

Purpose of the job

The Safeguarding Quality Assurance Assessor is responsible for ensuring that safeguarding practises are carried out in line with the customers Quality Assurance Framework and internal Company Frameworks round Safeguarding.

 

The Safeguarding Quality Assurance Assessor collaborates with subcontractors, Regional DSLs and Operations Teams to monitor and track the standard and quality of safeguarding to provide assurance to Senior Management.

 

The postholder plays a pivotal role in improving the service of safeguarding, embedding best practice and positive ethos, capturing data and ensuring quality service to safeguarding.


Duties and Responsibilities

Procedure

  • Review and quality assure safeguarding from IA and DA sites
  • Manage an allocated area of safeguarding for the business
  • Ensure a consistent provision of safeguarding service delivery across the region assigned
  • Meet monthly with the Subcontractors and Operations Team Leaders to track and understand safeguarding matters and ensure the correct referrals have been completed as well as quality assurance of referrals
  • Offer guidance and support the wider business in safeguarding matters
  • Raise concerns in relation to any risks to the regional DSL to ensure risk is mitigated to the business
  • Maintain professional communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the quality assurance framework provided by the customer is embedded in best practice
  • Ensure up to date records or quality assurance is kept and that they reflect a clear and concise reflection of areas of strengths and improvements in the business.
  • Be a main point of contact to Area Operations Team Leaders, Housing officer and Hotel Managers to ensure that safeguarding is prioritised for service users
  • Refer to the LADO and PIPOT where relevant
  • Collate data and evidence in cases where there is legal contest or as instructed by the regional DSL
  • Oversee and record safeguarding training at each site and process of which safeguarding is embedded in culture
  • Assist in the reporting, follow up and overview of High Profile Notifications (HPN) and feedback to the DSL
  • Ensure that cases are signposted appropriately and enquire if the correct referrals are completed

  • Supporting team members and provide on-the-job training
  • Provide cover for other staff as agreed by line manager
