ABOUT IMPROVE

Improve International was established in 1998 by a group of veterinary surgeons from across the UK. We run Continuous Professional Development training from veterinary professionals to help develop the skills and knowledge required in practice. 


Our programmes utilise a combination of review lectures, case-based discussion and, where applicable, hands-on practical sessions. Within Improve we also have the function of ‘The International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS)’. This function is dedicated to providing veterinary surgeons, nurses and technicians with high quality, achievable qualifications that are recognised internationally. We are an international organisation with offices in the UK and Portugal. 

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an experienced Content Marketing Manager to join our growing Digital Marketing Team. Reporting into the Global Head of Digital Marketing, you will take responsibility for producing highly relevant content for our global Veterinary audience, across a range of channels and formats, including blogs, articles, video content and thought leadership pieces.

 

Creation of a forward-thinking content strategy will be the starting point, ensuring alignment with key business messages and goals along with delivering efficiencies across markets whilst ensuring local relevance.

 

The successful candidate will own Improve Veterinary Educations’ marketing content planning and calendar through to execution, and measurement of performance.

 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Content Marketing Manager plays a vital role in the Digital Marketing department.


Responsibilities include contributing to brand maintenance through global marketing campaigns, collaborating with our local marketing business partners, and creating content to enhance campaign success. This dynamic role involves actively managing web, social media, and PR channels, fostering creativity and energy within the team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Implement a global inbound content strategy for Improve Veterinary Education, ensuring our key messages are always prominent, with both short- and long-term goals in mind
  • Balance outbound content with inbound best practices and tactics
  • Contribute to brand maintenance (growth?) through global marketing content
  • Collaborate with our local marketing business partners and create content to enable successful lead generation initiatives
  • Build content that can also be used to support the sales team in nurturing and converting delegates from opportunity to sale
  • This dynamic role involves actively managing content hosted on our website, social media platforms, and other owned channels
  • Assist in implementing digital marketing strategy for both product and business case solutions
  • Design and execute web content with SEO/SEM at the forefront
  • Formulate strategies to build lasting digital content connections and conversations on platforms such as LinkedIn
  • Generate content with support and input from key stakeholders in a resource effective and efficient way
  • Having a full understanding of SEO keyword rich content for web purposes is mandatory
  • Ensure legal compliance (e.g. copyright and data protection)
  • Monitoring web traffic and metrics to identify best practices
  • Develop an editorial calendar and ensure key marketing stakeholders are always in view

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree educated, or equivalent in marketing/ content related field
  • A veterinary practice background is preferable for this role due to the nature of the content, OR having a content writing background within the industry
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns
  • Experience in creating and maintaining digital content strategies
  • SEO/ SEM, Google Analytics, social media & CRM tools with demonstrable experience
  • Experience in optimising landing page and user funnel content
  • Experience with A/B testing

Annual Leave Entitlement: UK 25 days, increasing to 26 days after 3 years service and then to 27 days after 10 years service.


Office Closure: On the afternoon before the 25th December and also on the afternoon of the 31st December we close our offices and business and give our employees this time to take as leave.

Base: Office based in Swindon with some hybrid working available.
