We are now recruiting for a Security Controller to join our Systems team.

We are looking for a person with prior experience in a role that encompasses security of persons, products and/or facilities, with specific knowledge of UK Government security process and procedures, with an excellent working knowledge of the Government Security Policy Framework and an understanding of and/or experience of implementing the Secure by Design Framework.

You will have excellent inter-personal skills as this role requires you to work closely with several departments within the business.

This role encompasses the following responsibilities:

·       Ensure adherence to government security policy and the security framework

·       Maintain company security policy ensuring it remains relevant and proportionate

·       Ensure building security is maintained to FSC requirements

·       Ensure relevant employees gain and maintain security clearances at the appropriate level

·       Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the business and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate risk

·       Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with legislation

·       Conduct supplier security audits

·       Maintain cyber security to government classification standards

·       Mitigate risk of security breaches

·       Investigate and rectify security breaches that may occur

·       Responsible for securely managing HMG classified material

·       Delivering board level briefings when required to

·       Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to security, privacy and safety

·       Managing logistics of being a crypto custodian

·      Responsible for ensuring relevant teams are educated in security awareness

·       Experience of working in a security role with Government or within industry that is responsible for working with government assets

·       Working knowledge of the Government Security Policy Framework

• Understanding and/or previous implementation of Secure by Design Policy Framework

·       Good attention to detail

·       Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

·       Well organised and able to multitask

·       High level of confidentiality

·       Able to remain calm under pressure

·       Able to successfully liaise with relevant external bodies
