Hours of work: 48 hrs a week (shifts 08:00-20:00)


Salary: £31,200.00 per annum

Purpose of the role

The Cleaner will maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the site, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all stakeholders. The role involves routine and reactive cleaning across a large, complex site and requires excellent attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism.


Duties and Responsibilities

Procedures

  • The Cleaner will carry out a wide range of cleaning and hygiene tasks as directed by the Site Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Routine cleaning of all internal areas including offices, communal spaces, corridors, kitchens, and washrooms
  • Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers, and welfare facilities
  • Floorcare: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, buffing, and spot‑cleaning
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely, including recycling
  • Restocking consumables (soap, toilet roll, hand towels, etc)
  • Cleaning glass, fixtures, door handles, and high‑touch surfaces
  • External cleaning tasks such as litter‑picking, yard sweeping, and maintaining
  • outdoor walkways
  • Deep‑cleaning tasks as scheduled or requested
  • Reporting any maintenance issues, damage, or health & safety concerns
  • Ensuring cleaning equipment is used safely, stored securely, and maintained in good working condition

 

Note: This list is not exhaustive; additional cleaning tasks may be assigned as required by the Site Manager or Property Manager.

  • Work closely with your line manager and team members
  • Collaborate with others, attending meetings as required
  • Supporting team members and provide on-the-job training
  • Provide cover for other staff as agreed by line manager

  • Keep up-to-date with all written and verbal communications (i.e. emails/messages/calls)
  • Ensure all records are maintained and kept up-to-date according to company policies and procedures

 

 Talented

  • Monitor own work levels, progress and development in the role
  • Undertake all core learning and development programmes as required
  • Undertake relevant learning according to agreed Personal Development Plan
