The Oppportunity
This is an exciting time in the illustrious history of Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Following recent challenges, the club has enjoyed recent on-field success with the Men’s Senior Team getting promoted back to the Division 1 Championship and the Senior Women making the Tier 2 T20 Blast Finals Day ahead of their transition to Tier 1 professional cricket. Off the field, the Science and Medicine team continues to grow, coordinating with the Cricket Department to drive high performance outcomes and professional behaviours across Senior, Academy and Performance Pathway programmes through coaching and support practices.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experience and skilled physiotherapist to join our Science and Medicine team as a Lead Physiotherapist for our Men's XI. In this exciting role, the Men’s Lead Physiotherapist, reporting to the Head of Science and Medicine, will provide medical support services to Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s Senior Men’s Players. This role will be pivotal in providing the highest standard of physiotherapy provision to our Men’s professional players with the aim to maximise player availability, health and athletic performance. The role will require a committed individual with a passion for athletic performance and sports physiotherapy, with the adaptability to work across Yorkshire’s playing staff from young, aspiring cricketers to senior internationals. The department’s philosophy also requires practitioners to be team orientated and willing to commit to this high potential project.
Please note, this role will require regular national and occasional international travel with the First and Second Teams in order to provide dedicated, professional physiotherapy support for training and matches all year around.
